    Itinerary

    Please note that distances and durations are approximate and do not account for breaks or guided tours of sites, parks, and monuments, only the actual riding time. 

    Day 1 - Manila

    Arrive in Manila and transfer to the hotel.

    For logistics reasons we are not able to provide the airport transfers but you can easily take a taxi with the app Grab from the airport.

    In the early evening we gather for drinks and a briefing before the welcome dinner.

    Today we explore the historic side of the Philippine capital. A guided city tour takes you through Old Manila, including the famous Intramuros, the centuries-old Spanish walled city that represents the colonial origins of the capital. Highlights include historic churches, fortifications, and plazas that tell the story of Manila’s past.

    Distance: 270 km

    Your adventure begins in the vibrant capital of the Philippines. After departing Manila, the route gradually leaves behind the busy lowlands and climbs into the cooler mountain landscapes of northern Luzon.

    As the road winds upward, the scenery transforms into lush hills and pine forests before reaching Baguio, the country’s well-known mountain retreat often referred to as the Summer Capital of the Philippines.

    Located at over 1,500 meters above sea level, Baguio offers refreshing temperatures, scenic viewpoints, and a relaxed highland atmosphere — the perfect place to unwind after the first riding day.

    Distance: 150 km

    Today’s ride takes you deep into the Cordillera Mountains along one of the most scenic motorcycle roads in the Philippines — the legendary Halsema Highway.

    This spectacular mountain road winds through dramatic landscapes of steep valleys, terraced vegetable farms, and small mountain villages where local communities cultivate the fertile highland soils.

    A highlight of the day is a detour to the highest motorable highway in the Philippines, reaching approximately 7,900 feet (2,400 meters) above sea level. From here, sweeping views of the surrounding mountain ranges create one of the most memorable riding experiences of the tour.

    The day ends at Mount Data, a peaceful mountain retreat surrounded by forests and cool highland air.

    Distance: 180 km

    Leaving the high mountains behind, today’s ride descends gradually toward the western coast of Luzon.

    The route offers a fascinating transition of landscapes — from rugged mountain terrain to rolling countryside and coastal plains. As you approach the coast, the scenery opens up before reaching Vigan, one of the most beautiful and historic towns in the Philippines.

    A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Vigan is famous for its remarkably preserved Spanish colonial architecture, cobblestone streets, and charming old-world atmosphere. An evening stroll through the historic center offers a glimpse into the country’s colonial past.

    Distance: 265 km

    Today’s journey follows the scenic western coastline of Luzon, where the road runs alongside the South China Sea.

    Expect long stretches of relaxed riding through coastal villages, fishing communities, and tropical landscapes, with occasional sea views accompanying the ride.

    The destination is Sual, a quiet seaside town where you will stay at a comfortable beachfront resort — the perfect place to unwind after a longer riding day.

    Today is a rest day from riding, dedicated to exploring one of the Philippines’ most unique coastal landscapes.

    A short boat ride takes you into Hundred Islands National Park, an extraordinary cluster of more than 120 small limestone islands scattered across the turquoise waters of Lingayen Gulf.
    Spend the day island hopping, visiting secluded beaches, enjoying swimming and snorkeling, or simply relaxing in this beautiful tropical setting.

    Distance: 175 km

    Leaving the coast behind, today’s ride heads inland across the fertile plains of Central Luzon.
    The destination is Angeles City, historically known for hosting the large Clark Air Base, once one of the most important American military installations in Asia.

    Today the city is famous for its lively atmosphere, restaurants, and nightlife, offering a stark contrast to the peaceful coastal scenery of the previous days.

    Distance: 125 km

    Today’s shorter ride takes you toward the coast once again, heading to the beautiful Subic Bay region.

    The route passes through tropical landscapes before arriving in Morong, home to some of the most attractive beaches in the area. The afternoon is free to relax by the sea, enjoy the resort facilities, or take a swim in the warm waters.

    Distance: 220 km

    Today’s ride brings you south toward one of the most spectacular natural landmarks in the Philippines.

    Perched on a ridge overlooking a vast lake, Tagaytay offers stunning panoramic views of Taal Volcano, one of the world’s smallest active volcanoes located within Taal Lake.

    The cool climate and sweeping views make Tagaytay a popular retreat from the heat of the lowlands and an unforgettable stop on the journey.

    Distance: 100 km

    Before returning to the capital, the route descends toward Talisay, offering a closer perspective of the dramatic volcanic landscape of Taal Volcano and its surrounding lake. From here, the road continues back toward Manila, completing the motorcycle loop across northern and western Luzon.

    Upon arrival in Manila, check in at the hotel and enjoy some time to relax after the final ride.
    In the evening, we gather for a farewell dinner, celebrating the journey and sharing memories from the adventure with fellow riders.

    After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight home, marking the end of an unforgettable motorcycle journey across the diverse landscapes of the Philippines.

    Road conditions throughout the route are generally good to very good, particularly on major highways and mountain roads.

    The itinerary includes a mix of:

    Well-paved highways
    Scenic mountain roads with many curves
    Coastal roads and rural secondary roads

    Some sections in mountain or rural areas may have occasional potholes, uneven surfaces, or ongoing road works. These are typical conditions in many parts of Southeast Asia and are part of the adventure of riding in the region.

    Yes. Make sure your travel insurance explicitly covers motorcycle riding, including accidents and potential medical evacuation. Most standard policies don’t automatically include coverage for motorcycles over a certain engine size, so read the fine print or upgrade to an adventure rider policy.

    In the event of an emergency, we rely on both public and private services to provide immediate assistance. We will promptly inform your emergency contact as well as your country’s embassy or consular mission. Please note that you are responsible for any expenses incurred in such situations; therefore, ensure your insurance policy covers motorcycle touring accidents. If necessary, Ride On will cover any initial expenses, which must then be reimbursed accordingly.

    To confirm a booking, we require a 10% deposit. The balance is due three months before the tour date. We accept bank transfers or card payments (Mastercard / Visa). Once you are ready to confirm, get in touch and we will send you an invoice with instructions.

    Refunds are offered as follows:

    • Up to 9 months before the tour: fully refundable
    • Up to 6 months before the tour: 50% refundable
    • Within 3 months of the tour: non-refundable, but transferable to another tour or participant
    • Changes to the booking, such as rebooking or transferring to another person, may be allowed subject to availability and administrative fees.
